I have stage 3a kidney disease. I respect the Mayo Clinic website for the best information. I looked up creatinine and depending what the blood test shows, it refers more to the kidney function and how well the kidneys are filtering blood. I’m not a dietician but you can ask your doctor to refer you to a dietician to help you. Most health insurance plans cover the cost of seeing a dietician for diagnosis of kidney disease. They are the experts. Take your lab results with you. Best of luck.
