I went to stage 4 almost 5 I was temporarily on dialysis. I only eat pork , chicken, salmon and real turkey. You can also eat mackerel, but I don' like it. No cold cuts. Do noteat processed foods, Also watch salt intake, All foods have salt expecially frozen meals, I was advised to not go over 2000. I occasionally have american chop suey with a little bit of hamburg, or a small piece of steak. Cut out potatoes, french fries, eat whole grain bread, white rice. Eat lots of salads, Cranberries, blueberries red grapes are good for you. I freeze the grapes and eat them frozen that helps a lot with thirst. I am now back to stage 3. I am also diabetic so there are a lot of foods I can't eat, Try Asian mediterraean mandarin salad it has a lot of vegetables plus mandarin fruit. It is really delicious and satisfies the appetite. You can use Mrs Dash and cook with virgin olive oil. I use vegetable seasoning that has no salt to spice uo meals, This is but 😀a few suggestions.

I added beets and parsnips and unsweetened applesauce. I’m 70 years old and my kidneys are at stage three. But my Dr told me that is normal for my age. I thought I was on a healthy diet but since I read this articles about kidney-diets, I see I need to make changes.
